Underland 2026 / 2026
An immersive sound bath lounge
Paradise, VIC, on Wotjobaluk Nations country

Subsoma explores how frequency moves through us: audibly, physically and spiritually. Settle onto the couch with friends, slip on a pair of headphones and feel the music as much as hear it, as deep, gentle frequencies hum up through the seat beneath you.
A slow night sky invites you to choose between four objects, the Feather, the Gear, the Candle and the Heart. Each opens an original piece of music with its own emotional world, and one quiet choice inside it that changes how it ends. Light, sound and touch arrive softly and never rush you.
At the end, the stars gather into a figure shaped by the choices you made, with a few kind words to carry back out into the night. No two visits feel the same.
Subsoma was built from the ground up by Tom Hubble (Drop Frame): the music, the visuals, the narration and the hardware that runs the room, from the bass transducers in the seats to the lighting that breathes with the score. It was shown as open playa art at Underland 2026, A Victorian Burn, under the theme Threshold.
